Join us as a Fixed-Term Part-Time Registered Nurse, 32 hours per week.

Ngāti Porou Oranga is building a small, dedicated team to stand alongside whānau living with cancer — walking with them from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and beyond.

This kaupapa is about more than clinical care. It’s about restoring hope, protecting mana, and ensuring every whānau on the Coast can access the support they deserve, close to home and grounded in te Ao Māori.

As part of our Cancer Care Coordination Service, you’ll work across marae, homes, and clinics to make a real difference for whānau who face some of the hardest health journeys. Our approach blends clinical expertise, cultural strength, and community connection — guided always by Ngāti Porou values of manaaki, tika, pono, aroha, and ringa raupa.

This role is primarily based on the East Coast from Potikirua to Whangara.

Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako - Essential Skills & Experience:

• Registered Nurse with current practising certificate (NZ Nursing Council).
• Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in primary, community, or oncology nursing.
• Proven ability to deliver Kaupapa Māori or culturally safe practice.
• Full driver’s licence and ability to travel across rural Tairāwhiti.

Desirable:

• Experience working in iwi, Māori or NGO/community settings
• Understanding of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga
• Familiarity with workforce analytics and reporting tools
