Our service is committed to preventing and responding to elder abuse, neglect and isolation, while upholding the mana, dignity and wellbeing of our older generations.

We provide practical, emotional and cultural support to kaumātua and kuia who may be experiencing abuse, neglect or isolation.
Our kaimahi complete assessments to understand each person’s wellbeing, safety and support needs.
We work alongside each client and, where appropriate, their whānau to develop a support plan that reflects their needs and circumstances.
Immediate safety planning is available for kaumātua and kuia who may be at risk of elder abuse, neglect or family violence.
We work with whānau, hapū, iwi services, health providers and community agencies to ensure coordinated support.
We support community education to raise awareness of elder abuse prevention and promote safe, healthy whānau relationships.
