Rangatahi recently came together at Ngāti Porou Oranga – Paikea for the NEET Rangatahi Programme: Living a More Intentional Life, a kaupapa focused on encouraging young people to live with purpose, reflect on their goals, and connect with support services that can help shape their future pathways.

Led by NPO Youth Services, the programme created a welcoming space for rangatahi to explore what it means to live intentionally, understand the importance of priorities and daily choices, and take part in personal reflection and goal-setting activities. Rangatahi were also given diaries to support them in tracking their goals and building positive habits.

The day included service information rotations with YMCA, and Youth Plans & Obligations, giving participants the opportunity to learn more about the support and opportunities available to them in education, wellbeing, and personal development.

Programmes like this continue to support rangatahi to build confidence, strengthen direction, and explore positive pathways for the future.
