Horouta Whānau Ora - Whānau Day

Horouta Whānau Ora recently hosted a Whānau Community Day, bringing together whānau, community partners, and Ngāti Porou Oranga services in a welcoming environment focused on connection, support, and wellbeing.
The day was designed to reconnect with our community in a positive and engaging way, while raising awareness of Horouta Whānau Ora services and creating opportunities for whānau to connect directly with kairaranga and kaimahi. By providing an informal and relaxed setting, the event helped encourage open kōrero and made it easier for whānau to access information and support.
A range of activities were available throughout the day, including bouncy castles, sports activities, games for tamariki, kai, and entertainment. These activities helped create a whānau-friendly atmosphere where families could spend time together while also engaging with services and learning about the support available to them.
Ngāti Porou Oranga agencies were also present, giving whānau the opportunity to connect with multiple services in one place and see the collective support available across our community.
Following the success of the event, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the organisations and partners who contributed their time, expertise, and aroha to support the day. Their involvement helped create a welcoming and supportive environment for all who attended.
