Kaimahi from across Ngāti Porou Oranga and partner services recently came together for an Early Intervention Services Hui, creating an opportunity to strengthen relationships, deepen understanding of one another's roles, and explore how we can continue working collaboratively to better support our whānau.

The hui brought together representatives from:

• Whānau Oranga – Early Intervention Services
• Tūhono Whānau – Family Start
• Tairāwhiti Attendance Service
• Ngāti Porou Oranga Social Workers in Schools (SWiS)

The morning was centred on whakawhanaungatanga, providing a welcoming space where manaakitanga was evident throughout. Kaimahi had the opportunity to connect, share whakaaro, and gain a greater appreciation of the valuable mahi taking place across each service.

Through open and collaborative kōrero, attendees explored how stronger partnerships and a shared understanding can help ensure pēpi, tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau receive coordinated, whānau-centred support.

The hui highlighted the importance of Kotahitanga—working together with a shared purpose to strengthen outcomes for our communities. By bringing services together, opportunities such as these build trust, encourage collaboration, and reinforce our collective commitment to supporting whānau across Te Tairāwhiti.
