Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role:
Ngāti Porou Oranga is seeking a passionate andcommitted Rural Health Nurse / Practice Nurse to join our teamin the heart of Te Araroa, based at the Matakaoa Clinic.
This is a permanent, full-time dual role withsome after hours support. Providing comprehensive primary health nursingservices across the Ngāti Porou rohe. You will work within a close-knit ruralseaside community where health workers are highly valued and deeply connectedto the whānau they serve.
Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
The role spans the full life course and includes screening,assessment, education, diagnosis and treatment. Services include Tamariki Ora /Well Child checks, immunisations, domiciliary and practice nursing, palliativeand chronic care management, diabetes checks, wound care, cervical screening,health promotion and community education.
At the heart of this role is whānau-centred, culturally grounded care. You will work closely with whānau, hapū, iwi and communitypartners to support positive health outcomes, while contributing to a trustedlocal service that makes a genuine difference every day.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Registered Nurse qualification with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
ACLS Level 6 & Core Advance ( or willingness to obtain)
Strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally safe practice
Competent with Medtech
Sound clinical assessment skills and experience in primary care delivery
HIgh standards of confidentiality and respect for patient rights
Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independantly

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to identify and report community health trends
A positive team-focused approach with a desire to make a meaningful difference

Availability to participate in rostered shifts, on-call duties and events as required
Operating Competencies:
Full, clean New Zealand Drivers licence
