Civil Defence has advised that our status has been upgraded to RED due to weather impacts north of Tokomaru Bay. Civil Defence is now activated, and we are in a state of Readiness.

• All Coast clinics will be closed tomorrow.
• All calls will be diverted to Te Puia Hospital.
• Telehealth doctor appointments will still be available
• Please Call Te Puia Springs Hospital 06 8646803 or 0800674877 to make an appointment.

• In case of a Medical Emergency call : 111

⚠️ Safety Advisory

• Please stay away from rivers and beaches.
• Significant river level rises are expected in the Waiapu River and Hikuwai River, particularly between 6:00am and 8:00am tomorrow.

• Please check on your neighbours and our kaumātua, where it is safe to do so.

• Charge mobile phones
• Fill gas bottles
• Ensure you have enough kai
• Have access to lighting (torches, batteries, candles)
